This version of TuneLab is a minor extension of version 3.0. It is available at no charge for those who already have version 3.0. Here are the changes:
The free-trial version and the paid version are combined into one program. When that program is first installed, it will function as the free-trial version. By entering the proper license information, the user can convert the program into the paid version. This will make it unnecessary for a purchaser to download the program a second time.
You may now enter and store comments or notations with any tuning file. The comments are not stored in the tuning file itself, but in a text file with the same name as the tuning file. Whenever a tuning file is opened in TuneLab, a menu item will make the associated comment file easily accessible for reading or updating those comments. (Not available in the Smartphone version)
The "Undo" function in the tuning curve adjuster screen was not working properly. It has been fixed.
The "=" (equal) sign has been removed from the display of all offsets in TuneLab Pocket and TuneLab for Smarthpones, since the "=" sign can be confused for a "-" (minus) sign.
The upper note limit for auto partial selection has been raised from E2 to E3, giving one more octave where auto partial selection can potentially be used.
Timed note switching now works in Tone Generation Mode. Previously it only worked in Listening Mode.
The initial installed default measure sequence is C1, C2, C3, C4, C5. Previously the installed default was for an empty measure sequence, which required the user to define one. This change should make it easier for first-time users to create new tuning files. For those who already have a measure sequence defined, your measure sequence will remain in effect. The new installed default is only for first-time users.
A digitally signed version of TuneLab Pocket is available for those whose require it. This avoids the "untrusted publisher" warning that appears on some devices.
The tutorial for TuneLab Pocket has been expanded.
TuneLab for Smartphones now supports the Motorola Q Phone (320 x 240 display with full QWERTY keyboard).
