What's New for TuneLab, version 3.2b

This version of TuneLab is a minor upgrade of version 3.1.  If you need to see the changes that were introduced in version 3.1, then click here.  Version 3.2 is available at no charge for those who already have version 3.0 or 3.1.  Here are the changes:

  1. The Phase Display has been redesigned.  The graphic image is redrawn 20 times per second instead of 11 times per second as the previous version did.  This makes the Phase Display animation appear smoother.  Several new options have been added to allow adjustment of the speed of the black boxes in the display.

  2. The offset locking function has been improved to provide for faster and more stable lock-in.  These changes are partly the result of the improvement to the Phase Display calculations just mentioned.

  3. The Basic Offset and the last Tuning File name can be optionally saved when you close the program.  If these options are enabled, then these settings will be reloaded when the program is started up again so that these settings remain just as they were when you closed the program.  Click here to find out how to enable these options.

  4. TuneLab Pro should now prevent Screen Saver and Power Down activation by simulating a key press whenever the note switches, such as from auto note switching.  This will keep the display active even if you go for a long time without touching the keyboard or the mouse, as long as you are occasionally changing notes.  Leaving TuneLab Pro alone for a long time without changing notes will still allow these power saving actions.

  5. TuneLab now saves the state of the auto note switching mode when the program closes, so that it will start up again with the same mode in effect.  This feature was missing only from TuneLab Pro.

  6. TuneLab for Smartphones has the file selection screen fixed.  Previously some files were off the screen on some models of Smartphones, even when you scrolled to them.  Now the file selection screen always shows the file that is highlighted.
